About Me
Hi there! Chances are you’re here because you’re needing support in your relationships, work or health. I pride myself on creating a warm and friendly environment in order to achieve goals in the therapy room. While I’ve strived to become trained and excelled in the most relevant therapy models, as a therapist, I believe my clients most connect with my humanness. It’s always my goal to make sure you feel heard and seen. Your unique experience is important to me and it is a privilege to sit with you through some of your most challenging times.
I’m an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I was fortunate enough to start my training at the Training and Research Institute for EFT in San Diego. As a trainee and intern there, I received supervision from world renowned trainers in EFT, including Dr. Lisa Palmer-Olsen. Over the course of my career, I have attended numerous EFT Externships, Core Skills, EFT Triage and many more EFT based trainings. I have received countless hours of EFT supervision and maintained involvement in local EFT communities, where I am always seeking to fine tune my skillset. EFT and attachment theory are the foundation from which I work. I feel a strong connection to the work of Carl Rogers (humanistic psychology), who believed people are fundamentally good.
Sex therapy and couples work drove me to enter the field of marriage and family therapy. As a graduate student, I started the first support group for the National Vulvodynia Association (NVA) in San Diego. Over the course of four years as a support group leader, my passion for helping individuals with sexual dysfunction ignited, and it informs the work I do today. In 2019, I attended a year long certificate program at the University of Michigan, and along with regular supervision, I became a certified sex therapist.
